Hey there, future college superstars! ๐โจ Ready to tackle the beast that is college applications? Picture this: You’re sitting at your desk, surrounded by a mountain of application forms, and suddenly you realize โ it’s time to write that essay. You know, the one where you have to somehow cram your entire awesome personality into 650 words or less. No pressure, right? ๐ But here’s the thing โ this isn’t just another boring essay. Oh no, my friends. This is your chance to shine brighter than a disco ball at prom! It’s where you get to show those admissions folks the real you, beyond all those A’s and extracurriculars. They want to hear your voice, not a robot impression of what you think they want to hear.
College Common App Essay Prompts / College Personal Statement Questions
The Common App Essay Prompts ask you to demonstrate โyour ability to write clearly and concisely on a selected topic and helps you distinguish yourself in your own voice. What do you want the readers of your application to know about you apart from courses, grades, and test scores? Choose the option that best helps you answer that question and write an essay of no more than 650 words, using the prompt to inspire and structure your response. Remember: 650 words is your limit, not your goal. Use the full range if you need it, but don’t feel obligated to do so. (The application won’t accept a response shorter than 250 words.)โ
