Tailored College Admissions Counseling

Now, your student has reached the home stretch. Graduation is in sight and it will soon be time to begin the process of taking the standardized tests and actually submitting those college applications. Opus intends to help students optimize for success!

In the last two years of high school, students often have a clearer idea of their career path or what they really want to study in college. Opus ensures your student enrolls in the classes that most align with that vision. We encourage our students to continue challenging themselves while making sure they can manage everything on their plate.

Standardized tests shouldn’t be cause for undue stress. With some personalized tutoring, a few at-home practice tests under their belt—and at least one formalized practice test—students can be ready for the big day. Opus is on hand to look at the results of their practice tests, isolate the skills and subject areas that most need to be strengthened, and then see that it happens.

At this point, your student is one of the upperclassmen. They’ve spent time playing a particular sport or excelling in a particular organization—and will likely be stepping into a more pronounced leadership role. Opus shows students where and how to emphasize these titles and positions in the course of a college application.

Whatever a student’s extracurricular passion, they may have earned an award or two or logged many hours with a particular pursuit. These achievements should not be taken for granted! We help to make sure they are properly reflected in applications, essays, interviews, and any place they might be relevant in the admissions process.

As a junior or senior, students might have a driver’s license and some early work experience that opens the door to exciting internships, volunteer work, or shadowing programs. The summers before junior and senior year are the perfect time to have fun, potentially earn some money, and make room for that early career preparation that admissions teams appreciate. We help your student locate and secure the right opportunity.

With deadlines looming, it helps to have a team of pros assisting students as they research and prioritize the contests, awards, grants, and scholarships they want to pursue. Our team is available for private consultation via video chat, phone, text, or email.
